The Match Predictor is a pure cricket knowledge game — no team building, no credits, no playing XI. Just pick what you think will happen and earn points for being right.
How the Predictor Works
- Go to Predictor and create a room or join an existing one
- For each match, make your predictions across several categories
- Predictions lock at toss time — no changes after that
- After the match, results are automatically compared to your predictions
- Points are awarded for each correct prediction — harder predictions earn more
- The leaderboard updates after each match in a multi-match Predictor game
What You Can Predict
- Match winner — which team wins the match
- Top batsman — which player scores the most runs
- Top bowler — which player takes the most wickets
- Man of the Match — the official MOTM award winner
- Total runs — combined runs scored by both teams
- Toss winner — which team wins the coin toss
Predictor Strategy Tips
- Form matters more than reputation — who has scored in the last 3 matches is a better guide than career averages
- Check pitch and venue conditions — certain grounds consistently produce high or low totals, spinners or pace bowlers
- Read the match preview — CricketDream's match previews cover team news, pitch reports, and head-to-head records
- Confirm playing XI — even for Predictor, knowing who's actually playing (especially star players) helps predict top batsman/bowler

Do I need to pick 11 players to use the Match Predictor?
No. The Match Predictor is entirely separate from Fantasy XI and Draft formats. You simply make predictions about match outcomes — no team building is required.
What kinds of predictions can I make?
You can predict the match winner, top batsman, top bowler, man of the match, total runs scored, method of first wicket, and more. Points are awarded for each correct prediction.
When does the Predictor lock?
Predictions lock at toss time — once the toss is announced, no more predictions can be made or changed for that match.
Can I play Match Predictor and Fantasy XI for the same match?
Yes — you can submit a Fantasy XI team AND make Predictor picks for the same match. They are independent games that run in parallel.
