• Kuldeep Yadav(DC)

  Kuldeep brings his world-class chinaman bowling to the most spin-friendly surface on the IPL calendar. Even away from his home Kotla surface, Kuldeep's ability to generate sharp turn with his googly and flipper on any spinning track makes him DC's best bowling option at Chepauk. Against CSK's batting lineup (Gaikwad, Samson, Mhatre, Dube) in Chennai conditions, Kuldeep can take 2-3 wickets in the middle overs and control the game for DC.

• Ayush Mhatre(CSK)

  Mhatre is CSK's brightest spot in an otherwise gloomy IPL 2026 — his blistering 73 off 43 balls in M7 at Chepauk (the very venue for this match) demonstrated his ability to score big on a turning pitch. The young Mumbai batter hits with power and freedom and doesn't respect conditions or reputations. A repeat of his M7 performance would be CSK's best chance of posting a competitive total and Mhatre is an outstanding value pick.

  Axar's left-arm orthodox spin extracts sharp turn at Chepauk and his ability to bowl 4 crucial middle-overs is DC's most reliable bowling contribution in spin conditions. As DC's captain, he also contributes in the top 5 with the bat. His dual phase contribution on a surface that heavily rewards spinners makes him an outstanding fantasy option — and the captain multiplier on an all-round Axar performance is a decisive grand league play.
