How the ODI and T20I Squads Differ
India picked two almost separate squads. Only Nitish Kumar Reddy and Kuldeep Yadav appear in both. The ODI group is built around Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and adds Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. The T20I group, led by Shreyas Iyer, brings in Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Tilak Varma and the spinners Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi.
West Indies keep more continuity: Shai Hope, Jewel Andrew, Sherfane Rutherford, Roston Chase, Keemo Paul, Matthew Forde, Shamar Joseph and Gudakesh Motie are in both squads, with Shai Hope captaining each. Only the ODI squad has John Campbell, Keacy Carty, Amir Jangoo, Justin Greaves, Alzarri Joseph, Vitel Lawes and Jayden Seales. Only the T20I squad has Shimron Hetmyer, Kamil Pooran, Rovman Powell, Quentin Sampson, Romario Shepherd, Shamar Springer and Akeal Hosein.
