The best part of fantasy cricket is competing with friends. CricketDream lets you send direct challenges to your friends — pick a match, pick a game type (Fantasy or Draft), customize the rules, and send the challenge. Your friend gets a notification with a join code and you're off to battle.
How to Send a Challenge
- Go to your Profile and hit the Challenges tab
- Click Send Challenge to Friend
- Select a friend from your friends list (you must be friends first)
- Choose the match you want to challenge them on
- Pick your game type: Fantasy League or Draft
- Customize game settings (for Draft, pick squad size, pick timer, etc.)
- Click Send Challenge
- Your friend gets a push notification with the join code and match details
Challenge Type 1: Fantasy Cricket League
A head-to-head Fantasy league for a single match. Both of you pick your own 11 players (like normal Fantasy XI), the match happens, and highest score wins.
- No drafting — both players pick independently
- Fastest format — build your team in 2 minutes, lock it, and play
- Fair for all skill levels — equal squad flexibility for both players
- Perfect for: quick casual competition between two friends
Challenge Type 2: Draft Cricket
A 2-4 player draft where you take turns picking players from both teams. Each player can only be picked by one person. Highly customizable — you decide squad size, pick timer, and even the pick order.
Draft Settings You Can Customize
- 👥 Players: 2 or 4 player draft (two friends or a group of four)
- 🏏 Squad Size: 5, 7, or 11 players per team (faster drafts use 5, serious competitions use 11)
- ⏱️ Pick Timer: 30s, 60s, 90s, or 2 min per pick (30s is intense, 2 min is relaxed)
- 👑 Captain/VC: Toggle the Captain multiplier on or off
- 🔄 Substitutions: Allow 0–11 subs for injuries mid-series (only in multi-match drafts)
- 🐍 Pick Order: Use snake draft (default), alternating, or fully custom pick sequence
For a close match with a friend: use a 5-player squad size, 60s timer, snake draft order. It's short enough to play in real-time but strategic enough to matter.

Why Challenge Friends Over Public Leagues?
- Direct competition — you know exactly who you're competing against
- Customizable rules — set the game type, squad size, and pick timer your way
- Real-time stakes — the match happens in real-time, not on a weeks-long leaderboard
- Bragging rights — a one-on-one win means something
- Better for groups — easily coordinate 2–4 player drafts with friends
Draft Tips for Beating Your Friends
- Research before the draft — know your top 10 picks in order before you start
- Be aggressive early — in a 5-pick draft, grab premium openers and all-rounders first
- Watch what they pick — if your friend loads up on batsmen, take the best bowler available
- Use your captain wisely — save your captain slot for consistency, not boom-or-bust players
- Don't get stuck with too many from one team — diversify across teams to reduce risk
