Create Groups & Auto-Generate League Codes — Join with One Tap

Create private groups with friends, auto-generate league invite codes, and share leagues in the group feed. Perfect for offices, friend circles, and fantasy leagues.

Managing a fantasy league group is usually a pain — sending codes via WhatsApp, remembering who joined which league, tracking who's competing where. CricketDream Groups solve all of that. Create a group, auto-generate league codes, share them in the feed, and everyone joins with one tap.

What Is a Group?

A Group is a persistent community where you and your friends compete in multiple fantasy cricket leagues across the IPL season. You create the group, invite friends with a single code, and then share every league you create into the group feed. All members see shared leagues and join instantly.

How to Create a Group

  1. Go to Groups in the main navigation
  2. Click Create Group
  3. Give your group a name (e.g., "Office IPL 2026", "The Bhai Group", "Elite Fantasy Circle")
  4. Set the group to Private (only invited members can see it)
  5. Choose a group emoji or image (optional)
  6. Click Create
  7. You'll get a unique 8-character group invite code

Inviting Friends to Your Group

  1. Inside your group, go to Members tab
  2. Click Invite Members
  3. Copy the group code (8 characters) or the shareable link
  4. Send the code to your friends via text, email, WhatsApp, Slack, etc.
  5. Friends go to Groups > Join Group, enter the code, and tap Join
  6. They're instantly members and see the group feed
💡

One code works for unlimited people. You can have 5 friends or 50 in your group — the group scales automatically.

Auto-Generating League Codes in Your Group

This is the magic part. When you create a private league for a match, you can instantly share it into any group you're part of. Here's how:

  1. Create a private league (go to Leagues > Create League)
  2. Pick your match and name your league (e.g., "RCB vs MI Fantasy 3/28")
  3. Click Create League — you get an auto-generated invite code
  4. In the league details page, hit Share to Group
  5. Select which group to share it to
  6. Add an optional message (e.g., "Winner gets bragging rights!")
  7. Click Post
  8. The league card appears in your group feed instantly

What Happens When You Share a League to the Group Feed?

  • All group members get a push notification immediately
  • The league card shows the league name, match, and join code prominently
  • Members tap the card to join the league instantly (one-tap join)
  • No copying codes, no pasting, no confusion — just tap and you're in
  • The league appears in their "My Leagues" dashboard automatically

Group Features

Group Feed

A shared feed where group admins post leagues, announcements, and challenges. Every shared league card has the join code visible — members tap once and they're in.

Group Leaderboard

Ranks all members by total fantasy points earned since joining. Filters by season (IPL 2026) or all-time. Top 3 earn gold, silver, and bronze medals. Latecomers aren't penalised — leaderboard starts counting from when they join.

Members Tab

See everyone in your group, their total points, and their join date. Admins can remove members (in case someone stops being your friend 😄).

Perfect Use Cases for Groups

Office Fantasy Leagues

Create an "Office IPL 2026" group with your 20 colleagues. Share a new league for every match. The group leaderboard runs all season and crowns an office champion.

Friend Circle All-Season Competition

Your core 6 friends — create a group, share 1–2 leagues per week across the season. By the time IPL ends, you've played 20+ matches together and have a clear winner.

Family League Across Cities

Family members spread across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore? Create a group, invite everyone, and the group leaderboard stays updated live. You stay connected through cricket the entire season.

Fantasy Cricket Coaching/Community

If you run a cricket fantasy coaching or community (public group), share educational leagues and challenges. Members join, compete, and learn together.

Why Groups Are Better Than Slack/WhatsApp for Fantasy

  • One-tap league joining — no code copying, no confusion
  • Persistent group leaderboard — see cumulative performance all season
  • Automatic notifications — members see shared leagues immediately
  • In-app tracking — all competition happens in one place
  • No more lost codes — everything is saved in the group feed permanently

Create your first group now and start sharing leagues.
