The IPL 2027 player auction is on Wednesday 16 December 2026 in Goa. It is a one-day mini-auction and the last one in the current cycle, because a mega auction is due before the 2028 season. Before that, every team has to hand in its retained and released list by Tuesday 17 November.
These dates are from the IPL's note to the franchises on 2 November, reported independently. The retention deadline was originally 15 November and moved by two days because India play New Zealand in the fifth ODI that day.
