With six days to go until the ETPL 2026 opener, Glasgow Cosmic have made two confirmed changes to their 17-player squad: England opener Jason Roy comes in for New Zealand's Finn Allen, and New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham replaces Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis. Both swaps are now reflected in CricketDream's ETPL squads, so Roy and Neesham are live for Fantasy XI, Draft and Predictor, Allen and Mendis are no longer selectable for Glasgow Cosmic.
Why It Matters for Glasgow Cosmic
Glasgow Cosmic were already one of the most stacked squads in the draft, with Liam Livingstone, Moises Henriques, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi providing a strong core. Swapping in Roy and Neesham adds two players with recent global white-ball pedigree and franchise T20 experience across multiple leagues, giving captain Matthew Cross more top and middle-order firepower for the 26 August opener.
Jason Roy — in for Finn Allen
Jason Roy is a 36-year-old English opener who was a central figure in England's white-ball World Cup wins but hasn't featured for his country since 2023. He's an aggressive, boundary-hitting top-order option, a differential pick early since ETPL fantasy ownership hasn't caught up to the news yet.
Jimmy Neesham — in for Kamindu Mendis
Jimmy Neesham is a proven finisher and handy medium-pace bowler for New Zealand, with a long résumé across the IPL, Super Smash and other global T20 leagues. He gives Glasgow Cosmic a genuine all-round, lower-order hitting option in the same middle-order slot Kamindu Mendis previously filled.
