Mumbai had ₹90 lakh for six Indian slots and spent ₹70 lakh filling all six. Shweta Sehrawat at 20 lakh is the one with WPL experience and could open. Disha Kasat, Latika Inamdar, Bharti Rawal, Saanika Chalke and Akshita Bhagat are 10 lakh depth picks. The XI is the same star core as 2026.
Mumbai Indians start WPL 2027 on Thu 14 Jan against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Vadodara. They play 4 league games in Vadodara and 4 in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians Likely XI
Our read of the strongest XI, in rough batting order. It respects the four-overseas rule, but it is our opinion, not a team announcement.
- Hayley Matthews (All-rounder, 9.5 Cr)
- Shweta Sehrawat (Batter, 7.5 Cr)
- Natalie Sciver-Brunt (All-rounder, 10.5 Cr)
- Harmanpreet Kaur (Batter, 10 Cr)
- Amelia Kerr (All-rounder, 9 Cr)
- Amanjot Kaur (All-rounder, 8.5 Cr)
- Sajeevan Sajana (All-rounder, 8 Cr)
- Rahila Firdous (Keeper, 7 Cr)
- Sanskriti Gupta (Bowler, 7 Cr)
- Shabnim Ismail (Bowler, 8.5 Cr)
- Vaishnavi Sharma (Bowler, 7.5 Cr)
The whole XI would cost 93.0 Cr in Season Fantasy. You can take up to eight of them.
Best MI Fantasy Picks
- Premium: Natalie Sciver-Brunt (10.5 Cr), Harmanpreet Kaur (10 Cr), Hayley Matthews (9.5 Cr).
- Value: Rahila Firdous (7 Cr) and Sanskriti Gupta (7 Cr), both in our likely XI.
- Captain idea: Natalie Sciver-Brunt, the priciest player in the likely XI, on nights when MI look likely to bat second.
Check the confirmed XI before every lock. A squad player who does not start scores nothing, and the planner flags anyone missing from a confirmed XI.
