Matt Short captains the Strikers, opens the batting, and bowls off-spin in the powerplay. Locked in until BBL|17, Short is the player Tim Paine's rebuild starts with.
Short has 105 career sixes and strikes at 141.89 from the top, and the bowling goes at 7.64, which is excellent for overs that often come early. That combination is rare, and it means two chances to score every game.
