At the end of BBL|14, Sam Harper's BBL future was at a crossroads: 180 runs at 11.25 in two seasons, and the Stars had drafted another keeper in Joe Clarke. A year later, Harper was the Player of the Tournament.
Harper was reinvented as a top-order player almost by accident. Listed at five for the first game and not required, the chance came through an injury, and Harper never gave the spot back.
