Four WPL finals, four losses. Delhi Capitals could have torn it up after RCB chased 204 against them in February. They did the opposite and kept 13 players, including the four who cost ₹2.2 crore each: Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Marizanne Kapp and Annabel Sutherland.
That loyalty has a price at the auction table. Delhi have ₹1.10 crore for five spots, and only one of those can go to an overseas player.

₹1.10 crore over five players is ₹22 lakh each on average. Thirty players in the pool start at ₹30 lakh, so Delhi can buy one or two of them and fill the rest from the ₹10 lakh tier, where 106 of the 146 names sit.
Buy-Back Options
Three players Delhi released are in the auction list. Sneh Rana, the most experienced, has a ₹30 lakh base price, so buying her back at base would leave ₹80 lakh for four more players. Wicketkeeper Taniyaa Bhatia is also at ₹30 lakh and seamer Eddla Srujana at ₹10 lakh.
The two overseas players Delhi let go, Alana King and Lizelle Lee, are not in the 146-player list, so they cannot return this way.
The Overseas Spot
Delhi already have five overseas players: Kapp, Sutherland, Laura Wolvaardt, Chinelle Henry and Lucy Hamilton. The sixth spot is their one overseas pick. The top overseas base prices are Sophia Dunkley and Sophie Molineux at ₹50 lakh. Delhi can afford either, but buying one at base would leave ₹60 lakh for four Indian players.
