Mumbai Indians won two of the first three WPL titles, then finished fourth in 2026 with three wins from eight. Their response was to keep the expensive core and add one more overseas player.
Nat Sciver-Brunt (₹3.5 crore), Amelia Kerr (₹3 crore), Harmanpreet Kaur (₹2.5 crore) and Hayley Matthews (₹1.75 crore) are all retained. On 12 October Mumbai traded for seamer Tara Norris from UP Warriorz at her existing ₹10 lakh fee.
All five purses, the full auction pool and every retained squad, in one place.

The Norris trade took Mumbai to six overseas players, the maximum. So all six spots they fill in Kochi must go to Indian players. Former Mumbai all-rounder Milly Illingworth is in the pool at ₹10 lakh, but as an overseas player she is out of their reach.
₹90 Lakh, Six Players
That is ₹15 lakh a player, the lowest of any team. The pool has 97 uncapped Indian players and 93 of them start at ₹10 lakh, so Mumbai can fill the squad. The question is whether they spend big on one name first.
G Kamalini, the 18-year-old batter they released, is one of four players with a ₹40 lakh base price. Buying her back at base would leave ₹50 lakh for five players, ₹10 lakh each, which works only if nobody bids against them.
Other Former Mumbai Players in the List
- Saika Ishaque, bowler, ₹30 lakh base
- Triveni Vasistha, all-rounder, ₹20 lakh base
- Poonam Khemnar, all-rounder, ₹10 lakh base
- Nalla Reddy, all-rounder, ₹10 lakh base
