No club has won as much as Perth Scorchers. They lifted the BBL|15 trophy at Perth Stadium on 25 January 2026, their sixth title and a record for the competition, and they start the new season as the team everyone else has to catch.
The league opens on 12 December in Chennai with the Scorchers against Melbourne Renegades. That match alone makes this a good club to follow from the first ball, because every fantasy manager will want to know how the champions start.
Perth Scorchers at a glance
How last season went
The Scorchers finished top of the BBL|15 table with 14 points from 10 games, beat Sydney Sixers by 48 runs in the Qualifier and then beat them again in the final. Sixers were dismissed for 132, with David Payne taking 3/18 and Jhye Richardson 3/32, and Perth chased 133 in 17.3 overs for a six-wicket win. Mitch Marsh made 44 off 43 balls and Finn Allen added 36 in an opening stand of 80.
Allen finished as the tournament's leading run scorer with 466 runs, but he has moved on: he is listed in the Melbourne Stars squad for 2026/27. The Scorchers also played in one of the highest-scoring games in BBL history in December 2025, making 257/6 against Brisbane Heat, the second-highest total in the competition, and still losing the match when Matt Renshaw and Jack Wildermuth both hit centuries in a record chase.

Scorchers fantasy picks
- Mitch Marsh: the opener who scored 44 off 43 in the final and bats in the first six overs. He is the natural captain pick in most Scorchers games.
- Cooper Connolly: 77 off 37 balls in the 257/6 game and a left-arm spinner as well. Few allrounders in the league give you as much.
- Jhye Richardson: 3/32 in the final. The Scorchers pace group is the reason they win at home, and Richardson takes the new ball.
- With Finn Allen gone, watch who opens with Marsh. Zak Crawley is one of the new names in the squad.
Facts worth knowing
- Perth have won six of the fifteen titles, more than any other club.
- The 36 sixes in their December 2025 loss to the Heat are the most in a single BBL match.
- The 2025-26 final was at Perth Stadium, the same ground where they won BBL|12.
