UP Warriorz WPL 2027: Biggest Purse at the Auction
UP Warriorz finished bottom in 2026, with two wins and a net run rate of -1.076. They retained 11 at the deadline, then sent Tara Norris to Mumbai in a trade, so ten remain, fewer than any other team. Nine were released, including Chloe Tryon, Deandra Dottin, Amy Jones, Kiran Navgire and Asha Sobhana.
The core they kept is strong: Deepti Sharma (₹3.2 crore), Shikha Pandey (₹2.4 crore), captain Meg Lanning (₹1.9 crore), Phoebe Litchfield (₹1.2 crore) and Sophie Ecclestone (₹85 lakh). After Tara Norris left for Mumbai, they have ₹3.75 crore and eight slots, five Indian and three overseas. That is the biggest purse and the most spots at the auction.
